I need help with adding non vanilla potion effect to my custom food item. Im a beginner so try to explain in easier way please.

I have no idea how to add a different effect than minecraft default ones.

minecraft version 1.19.2

 

my code:

package net.lukeey.c_mod.item.custom;

import net.minecraft.world.food.FoodProperties;

public class ModFoods {

public static final FoodProperties PILL2 = (new FoodProperties.Builder()).fast().fast().build();

public static final FoodProperties PILL = (new FoodProperties.Builder()).fast().fast().build();

public static final FoodProperties BOTTLE = (new FoodProperties.Builder()).fast().nutrition(1).saturationMod(0.3F).fast().build();

}

 

yeah im probably just dumb but help pls

Did you look at how the PotionItem or SuspiciousStewItem works?

Boilerplate:

If you don't post your logs/debug.log we can't help you. For curseforge you need to enable the forge debug.log in its minecraft settings. You should also post your crash report if you have one.

If there is no error in the log file and you don't have a crash report then post the launcher_log.txt from the minecraft folder. Again for curseforge this will be in your curseforge/minecraft/Install

Large files should be posted to a file sharing site like https://gist.github.com  You should also read the support forum sticky post.
