I have been looking for hours trying to find out how to install Forge on my NFO minecraft multiplayer server that I maintain for my kids and their friends.  I have also tried downloading 1.6.4 from curse sites and just FTP'ing the jar file to the server, selecting it in my control panel as the default but that isn't working, there is obviously more that needs to be done.  I have watched videos on youtube that offer tutorials, but not for multi-player remotely hosted servers.

Now my question is this: could somebody here please point to a decent set of instructions or tutorial on how to install Forge on a remotely hosted multi-player server?  I, and about a dozen minecraft addicts would be very much indebted to you.  Thanks in advance for any help.

You'd have to ask your hosting provider exactly.

But the simplest way is to just use the installer locally, select install server.

Point it at a empty directory and then once it's all setup upload the entire directory to your host.

I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated.
