Searching for a strength modifier

Hi,

Just searching through the minecraft files seeing if i can find a universal damage modifier(a variable or series of variables something) - if it exists at all hoping there is something that will allow for a strength modifier as I am building a skills and stats mod, This is particularly for a strength stat and weapon stats. I may find something before a response in which case I will post the results.

You mean weapon damage?  Yeah it exists, though a mite annoying to add.

 

The "attached" function is the only one you're interested in:

It should be noted that this is a custom class type and that function is run when the item is instanciated (and deals with NBT to determine material), so for you you just need to put that into your item's constructor.

Try looking in EntityPLayer.attackTargetEntityWithCurrentItem().  It suggests a few possibilities - for example

the Forge event AttackEntityEvent

SharedMonsterAttributes.attackDamage

EnchantmentHelper.getEnchantmentModifierLiving
