My items are void?

I'm working on my inventory class, on the decrStackSize method. For some reason, when I take my item out and try to place it in a stack, it doesn't affect the stack at all. None of the numbers change, the item stack from the inventory just vanishes.

@Override
public ItemStack decrStackSize(int i, int j)
{

	ItemStack itemStack = slots[i];

	slots[i].stackSize = 0;

	return itemStack;

}

ItemStack itemStack = slots[i];
slots[i].stackSize = 0;

Mmm...pointers....

(Tip: ItemStack is passed by reference, not by value.  When you set the stack size there, you're returning a stack of size zero:

itemStack === slot[i]

).

Apparently I'm a complete and utter jerk and come to this forum just like to make fun of people, be confrontational, and make your personal life miserable.  If you think this is the case, JUST REPORT ME.  Otherwise you're just going to get reported when you reply to my posts and point it out, because odds are, I was trying to be nice.

Exception: If you do not understand Java, I WILL NOT HELP YOU and your thread will get locked.

DO NOT PM ME WITH PROBLEMS. No help will be given.
