TileEntity tileEntity = par1IBlockAccess.getBlockTileEntity(x, y, z);

if (! (tileEntityChest instanceof MyTileEntity) ) return someerroricon;

MyTileEntity myTileEntity = (MyTileEntity)tileEntity;

int myHugeMetadata = myTileEntity.getMyHugeMetadata();

return myArrayOfIcons[myHugeMetadata];
}
