Posted May 12, 20241 yr Technical Details: Launcher: Minecraft Legacy Launcher. Version: Yet confused which to play. Edition: Java PC : R5 7600x cpu, Rtx 4070 Gpu And 32 Gb DDR5 Ram. The problem: About the version first, I'm not yet sure which version to choose because of compatibility issues ( with forge, optifine and other mods or shader packs and aternos ). So I need to be sure about that one first. Then, with this set up which I used my life savings on is giving me mere 30 ish FPS and it's even worse when shaders are applied. Lastly, I don't know which settings to apply to not lose any visual experience with also gaining perform boost. If you truly are a experienced player any kind of advice will be appreciated. May 14, 20241 yr There isn't much we can suggest without knowing more details. You can try getting more details with spark, and using that to determine where you're going. https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/spark 1) Run /spark profiler 2) Wait a couple of mins 3) Run /spark profiler --stop and copy-paste the results link It should help give us more insight into why it’s lagging I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated. With your setup, you should be getting better performance. Try using Minecraft version 1.12.2 or 1.16.5 for better mod compatibility. I personally advice you to have the latest Optifine installed and tweak settings like lowering render distance and graphics. Also, consider using performance mods like Sodium and updating your GPU drivers. Allocating 4-8 GB RAM in the launcher might help too. Good luck!
