Is it possible to decompile Minecraft (using Forge src 1.7.2) offline?

Hello everyone. Im currently installing MCP and Forge 1.7.2 using the gradlew.bat as i type this. I occasionally dont have direct internet access, so i was wondering, if i download all the required files from a separate computer (Gradle, minecraft assets, etc.), would it be possible to decompile Minecraft (using gradlew.bat) without internet access?

Thanks for reading.

Internet access should only be required for the first run, after that offline runs should work fine.

It's a bit complicated to build the cache manually, so I won't go into that. Basically, you just want to run it online at least once for each Forge version you're trying to work with.

I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated.

Hi GeForce and LexManos,

Thanks for bringing this topic up.

I just want to clarify some queries I have. On a Windows PC, to transfer/copy the gradle cache and the eclipse workspace to another PC, I believe I just need to make a copy of the following folders:

  • Users\<UserName>\.gradle
  • Copy of MineForge source folder

Is this correct or have I missed something?

What is the equivalent in a Mac?

Many thanks,

CT
