My son plays on a Mac and many of his buds are on PCs.  Were hosting a Forge Server (on a Mac) and we have many mods and my son connects and plays and it's all good.  Client and server are 1.6.4.xxx.953

The problem i'm having is trying to get friends with PCs to get the mods to work.  I thought (mistakenly I now believe) that the same mods (most of which are .jar files) that I download and put in the mods folder on the Mac would work the same on the PC; i'd simply put them in the mods folder on the .minecraft folder on the PC and all would work fine.

Finding out that they don't work.  I put the .jar files on the PC in mods folder and when I launch mine craft and select the Forge profile it doesn't recognize them.

Any help would be appreciated.

Greg

Mods should work the same on both systems unless the modder has derped something up.

We need real bug reports including full logs and explanations of what exactly you're doing.

'I put a mod in the mods folder' gives us zero information.

I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated.
