im just the modeler for this mod, not the coder so please be kind with me about the coding aspect. why would it be having problems reading the model format?

if you are concerned about the OBJ format,

I had problems until I stopped it from exporting Material info.

The UVs are ok, but not Material info lines in the file.

My OBJs load ok with

@Wicked1 well ya, forge does have a material library. i have no idea what, S, VT or whatever that is means. i never said i was concerned with the format i said i couldnt get it to load with 1.7.2, diesieben07 called this one it was as simple as a slash needing to be deleted thanks again diesieben07.
