Greetings.

I have this line of code in my main mod class:

public static Item Goggles = new ArmorGoggles(1010, armorGoggles, ModLoader.addArmor("goggles"), 0).setUnlocalizedName("Goggles");

My client launches perfectly fine and I can play single player, and the goggle texture appears perfectly fine on my face.

However when I launch my server, it crashes immediately. It was due to a "NoSuchMethodError: net.minecraft.src.ModLoader.addArmor" error. I fixed it by replacing the ModLoader.addArmor method with a 0 instead for the placeholder texture, and the server launched fine, but then I could not see MY textures properly.

What I want to know is there some other way to register armor textures, or a solution that allows me to do it the way I'm doing it now?

Probably because the server doesn't know WTF a texture is.

Also, ModLoader != Forge.  You should look to see how Forge handles the same thing and do it that way.

("But," you say, "Forge comes with all of these ModLoader classes."  No, that's FML aka Forge ModLoader.  It translates ModLoader calls into Forge calls so that ModLoader mods and Forge mods are compatible with each other).

Apparently I'm a complete and utter jerk and come to this forum just like to make fun of people, be confrontational, and make your personal life miserable.  If you think this is the case, JUST REPORT ME.  Otherwise you're just going to get reported when you reply to my posts and point it out, because odds are, I was trying to be nice.

Exception: If you do not understand Java, I WILL NOT HELP YOU and your thread will get locked.

DO NOT PM ME WITH PROBLEMS. No help will be given.

Instead, use RenderingRegistry.addNewArmourRenderingPrefix("goggles")

If you really want help, give that modder a thank you.

Modders LOVE thank yous.

Textures show fine on my client in singleplayer, but the server still crashes with a new error:

Description: Exception in server tick loop

java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: net/minecraft/client/renderer/entity/RenderPlayer

Draco18s, you say the server doesn't know what a texture is. I need proxies for this, don't I?
