One set of Armor overwrites the rest...

I have developed in a legacy 1.6.4 forge environment until recently when I updated to the latest recommended build. Since I have updated I am having trouble getting multiple custom armor sets to load. The only one that does load is the last one defined, it gives me a conflict error in the console, but as far as I know it should not be conflicting with something. Here is where I defined the three armor sets I am making...

The item id's are defined in a separate class, I started with emerald helmet at 16000 and went by ones from there for the rest of the armor.

Well, to me it looks like your itemID's did not get set to the proper values, but you didn't include that code. Sorry, I cannot help you without knowing how that codes works (or in this case doesn't work.)

Your Item IDs are conflicting with vanilla items, so however you think you are getting the starting ID at 16000 obviously is not working.

As coolAlias said, your item IDs are conflicting with vanilla items, As I saw in the console error. You might want to move the IDs up to around 1500 to start off, so then the vanilla items won't override them. (Also, this might just be in legacy, but I didn't see a public static in front of those item statements.)

Is there any reason that you have a separate class for every single piece of armor in every single armor set? If you look at vanilla code or even Millenium3's bit of example code there, you can see that you can have all of your armors and pieces using the exact same class and just change the material...

 

As for your IDs... well, you are certainly creating them, though why you would do it that way is beyond me since you make them all final there is no point; anyway, you are using them when you call your armor constructors, but something is happening in there that is not passing those IDs back to the original Item super constructor.

 

Show us one of your many armor classes, if you wouldn't mind.

It looks like your code is correct (which is not true, of course). The only guesses I can make is you have more than one ItemID class in different packages, and you import the wrong one.

I don't know about you, but to me it looks like you are using par4 twice and ignoring par3 in your super() call here. That might change some important information when the class is constructed. An ID perhaps?

Sequituri is 100% correct here, but it's even worse: you used par4 THREE times, as the ID, the armor type, and the render index. Oops.

That has to be the most un OOP code I have ever seen.... Not only can you have a full set of armour inside the file, you can have every piece of armour that you make (not only the one set) inside
