Hi all, I am new here and need help.  My wife and I downloaded pixelmon with forge 1.6.4 client install.  We can connect in lan in regular minecraft, but not pixelmon.  One  person is in the pixelmon world, and the other joins the server but in regular minecraft, albeit with a pixelmon hud.  Is this a forge issue?  Do we need to also install forge server to make it connect properly?  Or is it something different that needs to be addressed?

I have searched everywhere for answers,  with no luck.  People in these forums seem to be fairly intelligent,  so I am hoping this can get solved.  Thank you in advance for any help!

So do I need to install the forge server on top of having the client install?  And if that is the case, do I move that into the mods folder?  I am new to computers, so please excuse my stupidity.

We both have forge 1.6.4, if that matters.

thanks for the help!

Install forge through the installer only. Normal mods get put in the mods folder (unless they are stupidly coded and require another installation method).

I do have forge installed, but only client install.  Do I need to install the forge server as well?  I guess I am pretty ignorant of this stuff, so please excuse my stupidity.  Thanks!
