Where to get minecraft mods and maps?

Hi guys, I'm quite new to all this Minecraft mods, maps, texture packs, etc stuff and would like to ask what good sites do you use to get all this stuff? Lately I was using modsformc.com website, and it's pretty good in my opinion especially when it comes to updating daily and stuff but it would be nice to know other trustworthy and offen updated websites as I just can't get enough of moded Minecraft

As for sites you should go on, planetminecraft is a great place to start.

THe official minecraft forums, curse forge, and the official homepages for the mods.

Any other site is USUALLY stealing the mods for ad revenue or lying about the mods to trick people into downloading malicious things.

And what he said . Yeah basically try to download from the official mod site when you can because it supports the modders. Lots of times modders will have ads on their websites, which makes them money, which makes their mods better. I always download maps from PMC or MC Forums.
