Hey guys,

I want to create a little mod for my community. It should add some new recipes including items form other mods. The problem is: I've no idea how that works.

First I searched on Google and found this tutorial on minecraftforge.net: http://www.minecraftforge.net/wiki/Developing_Addons_for_Existing_Mods

It's outdated.

Can someone suggest me a new Tutorial or explain me how I can add other (already existing mods) to my development environment?

btw I'm from Germany... So please excuse my bad english...

I've no idea either,  but maybe it requires Java script. You could look it up on Minecraft Wiki. That's all I know.

Bye!

What is out dated about it?  You don't decompile the mod any more and instead include it in your build path.

Everything else is fine.  You change the @mod annotation, just as it lists, and you add the compatibility layer as described.

Java script

Java is not Javascript.

Apparently I'm a complete and utter jerk and come to this forum just like to make fun of people, be confrontational, and make your personal life miserable.  If you think this is the case, JUST REPORT ME.  Otherwise you're just going to get reported when you reply to my posts and point it out, because odds are, I was trying to be nice.

Exception: If you do not understand Java, I WILL NOT HELP YOU and your thread will get locked.

DO NOT PM ME WITH PROBLEMS. No help will be given.
