here is my crafting recipe

and here is the paste bin: http://pastebin.com/mm16cruh or otherwise read below and ty for you're reply

package com.jacob.Main;

import net.minecraft.block.Block;

import net.minecraft.init.Blocks;

import net.minecraft.init.Items;

import net.minecraft.item.ItemStack;

import com.jacob.blocks.MBlocks;

import com.jacob.item.MItems;

import cpw.mods.fml.common.registry.GameRegistry;

public class CraftingManeger {

public static void mainRegistry(){

addCraftingrec();

addSmeltingrec();

}

public static void addCraftingrec(){

//shaped

GameRegistry.addRecipe(new ItemStack(MBlocks.ComStone, 1), new Object[]{"XXX","XXX","XXX", 'X', Blocks.stone});

GameRegistry.addRecipe(new ItemStack(MItems.oStick, 1), new Object[]{" X ",","," X ", 'X',Blocks.obsidian});

//shapeless

GameRegistry.addShapelessRecipe(new ItemStack(Items.diamond, 1), new Object[]{"SCO"}, 'S', Blocks.stone, 'C', MBlocks.ComStone, 'O', Blocks.obsidian  );

}

public static void addSmeltingrec(){

GameRegistry.addSmelting(Blocks.coal_block, new ItemStack(Blocks.obsidian, 1), 20.0f);

}

}

Well, aside from using "new Object[]" this is what stands out:

" X ",","," X ", 'X',Blocks.obsidian

That is not a valid recipe.  Let me break down what you have...

" X " <-- three characters, one of which is an X, the others spaces.  Spaces are good.

"," <-- one character, a comma

" X " <-- same as first line

'X',Blocks.obsidian <-- registration of what an X does.

Two problems:

1) Your second line is only 1 character

2) Your second line contains a character that doesn't have an item associated with it.

Apparently I'm a complete and utter jerk and come to this forum just like to make fun of people, be confrontational, and make your personal life miserable.  If you think this is the case, JUST REPORT ME.  Otherwise you're just going to get reported when you reply to my posts and point it out, because odds are, I was trying to be nice.

Exception: If you do not understand Java, I WILL NOT HELP YOU and your thread will get locked.

DO NOT PM ME WITH PROBLEMS. No help will be given.

You don't need to write shape for shapeless recipe

new Object[]{"SCO"}

just do this:

GameRegistry.addShapelessRecipe(new ItemStack(Items.diamond, 1), new Object[]{Blocks.stone,MBlocks.ComStone, Blocks.obsidian});
