Auto Smelting Pickaxe

Hey guys,

I've been searching for tutorials about autosmelting pickaxe and they're all outdated, I tried every single code that I found in this forum and the issues are:

- When mined, any block drops Stone.

- When stone is mined, minecraft crashes.

- The tool works only the first time.

- When I set copy(); , the tool works but it drops 2 items (you can't get the second one).

So yeah, that's it.

Good for you. Now what do you want us to do?

Don't PM me with questions. They will be ignored! Make a thread on the appropriate board for support.

1.12 -> 1.13 primer by williewillus.

1.7.10 and older versions of Minecraft are no longer supported due to it's age! Update to the latest version for support.

... O.o

Well, this is the item class:

public class ItemDemolisher extends ItemPickaxe {

public ItemDemolisher (ToolMaterial material) {
	super(material);
}

@Override
public boolean onBlockDestroyed(ItemStack itemStack, World world,
		Block block, int x, int y,
		int z, EntityLivingBase player) {

	ItemStack stack = FurnaceRecipes.smelting().getSmeltingResult(new ItemStack(block)).copy();

	if (stack != null) {
		System.out.println(stack);
		world.setBlockToAir(x, y, z);
	player.entityDropItem(stack, 1);
	}

	return true;
}

Actually, I want it to auto smelt blocks (like the title says).

Can you guys help me? :v

Cant be that hard, check in breakBlockEvent (or something similar) if your custom pickaxe was used to break the block, no: do nothing. yes: check if the block has a furnace recipe. no: do nothing. yes: remove the old drop and add the furnace recipe output

Edit: ahh w8, you don't have to use a event ofc

It drops two (and you can only pick up one) because the code is called on both client and server.  The item stack created on the client can't be picked up.

Also what diesieben said.

Apparently I'm a complete and utter jerk and come to this forum just like to make fun of people, be confrontational, and make your personal life miserable.  If you think this is the case, JUST REPORT ME.  Otherwise you're just going to get reported when you reply to my posts and point it out, because odds are, I was trying to be nice.

Exception: If you do not understand Java, I WILL NOT HELP YOU and your thread will get locked.

DO NOT PM ME WITH PROBLEMS. No help will be given.
