i got a trouble with installing the lastest version of forge.

my anti virus (ESET nod32 Antivirus 4) is blocking the installation, and i do not wish to close the anti virus.

the forge  installation does not leave any log file.

Where did you download the installer from.

If you downloaded it through an adf.ly link make sure you only click the 'Skip Ad' button in the top right, everything else on the page is an Ad, hence the name.

I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated.

Give me the EXACT link you used then.

Also use http://onlinemd5.com/ to give me the md5 of the file you downloaded, the exact name, etc.. give exact details.

You told me nothing.

I said EXACT link.

And for MD5 I gave you a link to a website that is fairly straight forward to give you one.

There are no viruses or malicious software in Forge, it's open source, you can review everything.

If your AV is saying such either disable your AV or you've gotten it from a malicious site pretending to be us.

Hence why I need the exact link and md5.

That is not the correct MD5 for that download, either you got it from some other site, or your download is corrupt. Clear your cache and try again.

Redoing everything:

First, i have deleted any forge version from the .minecraft "versions" folder.

i have deleted any previos installer.

then, downloaded from this exact link:

http://files.minecraftforge.net/maven/net/minecraftforge/forge/1.7.10-10.13.2.1291/forge-1.7.10-10.13.2.1291-installer-win.exe

exact file name:

forge-1.7.10-10.13.2.1291-installer-win.exe

MD5 of the file:

0B8598A75955DEDF99A56E39C5C721CE

(again, i am not fully sure how to use this website. if i have done anything wrong, please explain how to do it.

Forge Installation error message:

I have checked the logs folder, no file there was generated today.

is this enough data?

sorry if i am annoying.

sorry for bad english.

UPDATE:

i tried again... it just started working, NO idea why

Thats the correct checksum for the exe installer.

And now that you've given the exact error it's apparent that your anti-virus is overzealous and has blocked creeper host.. God knows why, it's a false positive. Report it to your AV team.
