Hello,

This code give me a NPE because I trying to create an instance of outer mod installed block ("ExtraUtils"):

new ItemStack(Item.getItemFromBlock(Block.getBlockFromName("tile.extrautils:cobblestone_compressed")), 1, 0)

What is the right func/method to make it, if it possible?

thank you ...

Only call the code if ExtraUtils is loaded.

This is probably giving you NPE.

Block.getBlockFromName("tile.extrautils:cobblestone_compressed");

Make sure it won't, you are either not loading the mod or giving wrong string name.

There is no other way.

1.7.10 is no longer supported by forge, you are on your own.

The mod is surely loaded because i check it into my mod "PostInit":

    @EventHandler
    public void PostInit(FMLPostInitializationEvent PostEvent)
    {
    	ExtraUtilsMod = Loader.isModLoaded("ExtraUtilities");
    }

And I found the string name "tile.extrautils:cobblestone_compressed" using block.getUnlocalizedName() func ... then I have no idea ...

unlocalized name != block registry name

GameRegistry.registerItem((new Item()).setUnlocalizedName("iron_nugget")), "my_iron_nugget");

Could methods:

1) Ask

2) Decompile the mod and look

3) Print out every god damn block name in the block list
