March 25, 201510 yr You are compiling Java 7 code for Java 6. Java 6 does not support the diamond operator HashMap<> http://www.javaworld.com/article/2074080/core-java/jdk-7--the-diamond-operator.html Either write the operator out long hand (see the link) or compile for Java 7.... -TGG
March 25, 201510 yr I knew there was something with Java 6 there, but I didn't catch the diamond operator usage. OTOH, a google search turned up someone completely unrelated that simplified my own work. (I use long-hand, rather than the diamond operator, as I do a lot of cross-language work and AS3 doesn't have it). Apparently I'm a complete and utter jerk and come to this forum just like to make fun of people, be confrontational, and make your personal life miserable. If you think this is the case, JUST REPORT ME. Otherwise you're just going to get reported when you reply to my posts and point it out, because odds are, I was trying to be nice. Exception: If you do not understand Java, I WILL NOT HELP YOU and your thread will get locked. DO NOT PM ME WITH PROBLEMS. No help will be given.
March 25, 201510 yr Author How can i compile my mod for Java 7 ? The only java i have installed is Java 7. http://puu.sh/gP0Jl/f2c13c4f13.png
March 25, 201510 yr Put this: compileJava { sourceCompatibility = 1.7 targetCompatibility = 1.7 } ...in build.gradle P.s - you might also want to change Java in IDE, idk. 1.7.10 is no longer supported by forge, you are on your own.
