Posted March 26, 201510 yr I've set up the forge server perfectly. Even put the assigned .bat file saying: !/bin/bash cd "$(dirname "$0")" exec java -Xmx500m -Xms500m -jar forge-1.7.10-10.13.0.1187-universal.jar in the folder. yet, My friends can't connect. The heck!
March 26, 201510 yr Does the server log record any errors? What happens when players try to connect? Potato's have skin. I have skin. Therefore, i am a potato. Follow me on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/I_Mod_Minecraft
March 26, 201510 yr Likely a firewall issue. Apparently I'm a complete and utter jerk and come to this forum just like to make fun of people, be confrontational, and make your personal life miserable. If you think this is the case, JUST REPORT ME. Otherwise you're just going to get reported when you reply to my posts and point it out, because odds are, I was trying to be nice. Exception: If you do not understand Java, I WILL NOT HELP YOU and your thread will get locked. DO NOT PM ME WITH PROBLEMS. No help will be given.
March 26, 201510 yr Author Do you think? There's no recorded data when he tries to join. It fails from his end, but that must mean my ip isn't accessible, right?
March 26, 201510 yr Author For the port-forward, I made a TCP and a UDP port using port 25565. I placed my IPV4 adress in both the LAN area and external area for both ports. I saved it there.
March 26, 201510 yr Author Many thanks, friend. Which port am I checking on this chart? EDIT Checked port 25565, said it wasn't open.
March 26, 201510 yr Author This is a screenshot of the setup for the TCP and UDP ports that i'm doing: http://prntscr.com/6loxll This is teh Final: http://prntscr.com/6loyhy Is it good?
March 26, 201510 yr Author they're using my public (external) ip Where I can google "ip" and send it. They've also tried my ipv4. Is the port good?
March 26, 201510 yr Author For both, right? If so, that's done. http://prntscr.com/6lqbk0 Port's still unseen, says the website.
March 26, 201510 yr Author Presumably. My IP is set to my IPV4 in the .serverproperties, ports forwarded, what way do i need to set up my windows firewall?
March 26, 201510 yr Author I have a new problem- the server is extremely laggy with players, and ends up duplicating players in a single spot, not showing them actually move, etc.
March 26, 201510 yr Author it may or may not. Doesn't it have to due with something like allocating or dedicating more ram or java speed to the server with a command or something?
March 26, 201510 yr Author I've got 4gigs of quality ram, and I don't know how to dedicate it to the server
March 27, 201510 yr like so java -Xms2048m -Xmx2048m -XX:PermSize=128m -jar forge-1.7.2-10.12.0.985-universal.jar nogui pause
