dgelessus
When launching Minecraft 1.7.10 with Forge (tested with latest build) on OS X (known to happen at least on 10.9 "Mavericks" and 10.10 "Yosemite"), the game crashes after the loading screen if fullscreen mode is enabled. This only happens with the loading screen enabled, and only when using Minecraft's built-in fullscreen option (not with OS X's fullscreen button on the window title bar). When enabling fullscreen in the options the game doesn't crash right away, which makes sense, because then the loading screen doesn't show. FML log: http://gist.github.com/dgelessus/64c719dfcc50779fbdfb (OpenEye is installed, but the issue also happens without any additional mods.) OpenEye reports, if those are of any use: http://openeye.openmods.info/crashes/96954deca961223947314ecededcbe52 http://openeye.openmods.info/crashes/cb51ab387e2c01bb212dd7d19154b176 http://openeye.openmods.info/crashes/b9aeb70e6f3684a9d8d0cc8edaa3d689
LexManos
config/splash.properties set enabled to false, your mac video drivers are crap and don't support the new load screen. Quote I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated. Consider supporting the team on Patreon
dgelessus
config/splash.properties set enabled to false, your mac video drivers are crap and don't support the new load screen. That works of course. Any chance of this being fixed though? I see this reported quite frequently (at least once per day on the ATLauncher forums, if that can be considered "frequently"). Though you were probably already aware of this and had this discussion before, so I'll stop bugging you now.
LexManos
If it was a simple thing to detect we'd have it done. But the consensus is that due to the 1% of broken computers we're gunna have to do a 'Lets test this on first run' type thing. Trust me I know how frequent it gets reported. From the looks of it, it's a common driver doing GL in a way that is contrary to the GL spec, but hey we have to support it.
