OS: Mac OS X 10.10.3 Yosemite, forge 11.14.1.1419, Minecraft 1.8, IDE : Intellij IDEA 14.1

I had this problem in previous forge i ran and updating to the newest one did not help.

I've checked that all the textures and .json files are in proper folders

Everything is OK with blocks, but items are weird.

What video driver do you have, some OSX drivers are broken, you can try disabling the splash screen in config/splash.properties it may help.

I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated.

If that was a driver, other minecraft instances would be broken, but FTB Infinity for MC 1.7 works just fine

Depending on what version of Forge you're using in the pack instance.

If they are using a old version which doesn't have the enhanced loading screen then you won't have this issue.

Hence why disabling the screen fixes it.

It is a driver issue, from what we can gather it is a core driver freaking out thinking that it can render the desktop onto the item/block textures.
