[1.7.10 - 1.8] Is there any way to install multiple Forge versions?

I'm specifically want to be able to use it on both 1.7.10 and 1.8 specifically for FPS-increasing mods.

Would putting multiple versions of the same mod in the mods folder break anything? (like Mod-A-1.7.10 and Mod-A-1.

Yes, but this is why there is a plethora of ways to seperate your mods folder out.

There is /mods/{mcversion} or the better option of setting your game directory in your profile.
