So I just recently downloaded Forge version 6.2.1.356 and when I login my game freezes at the loading screen. I don't know the problem and it's really bugging me. PLease help!

Which loading screen?

Launcher?

Minecraft version?

Logs?

Well I just installed the latest version of Forge and when the game says "updateing game", it freezes at that part of the download. I don't know the problem. Do you?

 

I will assume that you are using Minecraft 1.4.2 with Mojang's launcher, and that no logs have been created.

Force update and reinstall Forge. Don't unzip the minecraft.jar. Use an archive manager like 7zip.

I am using 1.4.2 and I did force update about 20 times and it wont work. And yes i am using 7-Zip.

 

Try Forge #355 then.

356 is actually for 1.4.3. Sorry for not posting this earlier.

Download forge from here: http://adf.ly/673885/http://files.minecraftforge.net/minecraftforge-universal-6.0.1.355.zip. Install into a clean 1.4.2 jar, as you would normally.

Make sure you copy EVERYTHING, including the random text files.

I am Copying every file. I have to put the files on my desktop then in the jar file. Mabye my desktop can't hold 207 files. 

Try using an archive manager like 7zip.

Unzipping everything will cause errors later on, as explained in the EAQ.

So when I start Minecraft a box apears trying to open forge and then another box comes and says that. Its trying to open forge for minecraft.

Describe these "boxes."

The First box says "Hello.FML is setting up your minecraft." And it says Validating MC. Then another box apears and says "There was a fatal error setting up Minecraft and FML" and when I click ok, minecraft wont start. Wierd right? Btw, the error it says is caused by ForgeModloader-client-0.log.

Delete ForgeModLoader-client-0.log and try again.

I try and when i leave the folder it comes back like it's a folder NEEDS it to open forge.

So...when you delete ForgeModLoader-client-0.log, it appears to work, but when you back out of your .minecraft in Windows Explorer and re-open .minecraft, ForgeModLoader-client-0.log reappears?

Make sure that absolutely nothing else is running when you delete ForgeModLoader-client-0.log. If that doesn't work...well, restart your computer and try again...?

Idk the problem but yeah when I leave .Minecraft it comes back. I will try to restart my computer. so I will tell if it worked

 

Why isn't forge working?! I checked the ForgeModloader-Client-0.log and this is what it said st the top of the file.
