Posted July 29, 201510 yr Hi. I'm new here, sort of.. anyway, i have only registered to ask.. Will Forge Devs think about exploring Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition a bit, and maybe, start a Forge Version there or i can lose all hope?
July 29, 201510 yr Author The Win10 Edition is a port of pocket edition. It's not written in java, so forge as you know it is not possible there. Not the exact same, that is. I'm glad i specified "explore", like.. they could make a Windows 10 Edition, not obviously a port of the actual one, which as i know and you said, it's impossible.
July 30, 201510 yr Author Well, it's also much harder to mod a non-java game in general. Dragon Age, Skyrim, Fallout and bla, bla, bla says you "Hi" http://www.nexusmods.com/games/ Also, MC: PE which is also written in C++ have Mods as well http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/minecraft-pocket-edition/mcpe-mods-tools
July 30, 201510 yr One of the main problems I've had is that the 'WindowsApps' folder is so protected, i can't edit files within it, that is gonna be a major problem. (Afaik ) Currently making a voxel game.
July 30, 201510 yr There are plans to look into it. However, it's not a high priority. You will never see the mods like you see them in Forge today. Its A LOT of work to get things going when you have nothing that you can let the modders touch. We'll see in the future. However java is be the prime target. I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated. Consider supporting the team on Patreon
