Brightness in ISimpleBlockRenderingHandler [1.7.10]

i finally managed to render my new block ingame by composing it from vanilla blocks (calling RenderBlocks.setRenderBounds + RenderBlocks.renderStandardBlock a few times).

it works okay, plus i don't have to worry how it would look if someone uses a hi-res texture pack.

now, is there a way to make one of those parts brighter?

there are some brightness fields on RenderBlocks but they don't seem to do anything...

Also you can use Tessellator's #setColorOpaque, #setBrightness, etc.

I. Stellarium for Minecraft: Configurable Universe for Minecraft! (WIP)

II. Stellar Sky, Better Star Rendering&Sky Utility mod, had separated from Stellarium.
