Use your IDE.  Code hinting is awesome and so is jump-to-definition.

Apparently I'm a complete and utter jerk and come to this forum just like to make fun of people, be confrontational, and make your personal life miserable.  If you think this is the case, JUST REPORT ME.  Otherwise you're just going to get reported when you reply to my posts and point it out, because odds are, I was trying to be nice.

Fuck if I know what the Tessellator class looks like in 1.8, that's why I told you to use your tools.  Be smart, look at the class for yourself.

Jesus christ. Dude, please learn some basics before jumping into rendering. You are noot only Java-newbie but also programming-newbie AND IDE-newbie. Do something basic, please!

 

As to what to do:

In 1.8 tesselator methods have been moved to WorldRenderer which has a getter (yes, right there).

Look into vanilla - it is as simple as that.

 

As to other ways: Clean tess rendering should be used to perform VERY custom renderings and requires quite some math and 3D-sense. Other ways are using json models or other models. Other are clean GL calls in Renderer.class-es. It all depends on what is your goal really. Differnt tools are used to make different stuff.

1.7's tessellator is just a wrapper around GL calls.  WorldRenderer might be 1.8's wrapper.

 

I actually borrowed some of Minecraft's setup when doing some direct GL stuff in Unity3D.  I have less access to GL in Unity than in Java, so I had to write a wrapper class (the tessellator) to translate from simple calls ("draw this texture at this point on the screen") into a series of GL calls (which had to be stored in an array to wait from UpdateTick until PostRender).  Ended up with quite the class, letting me set shaders, do both 2D and 3D in any order, and so on.

Hey Guys, I've searched for another way of tessellation and I've found that I have to use worldrenderer. Now I've looked into the WorldRenderer and I've wrote an new Class, I haven't any mistakes but Minecraft doesnt draw the texture I don't know why?! Here my new Class: http://pastebin.com/n9FYw3xH

    • Hey guys, i'm currently developping a mod with forge 1.12.2 2860 and i'm using optifine and gradle 4.9. The thing is i'm trying to figure out how to show the player's body in first person. So far everything's going well since i've try to use a shader. The player's body started to blink dark when using a shader. I've try a lot of shader like chocapic, zeus etc etc but still the same issue. So my question is : How should i apply the current shader to the body ?     • Item successfully registered, but there was a problem with the texture of the item, it did not insert and has just the wrong texture.     
    • Keep on using the original Launcher Run Vanilla 1.12.2 once and close the game Download Optifine and run optifine as installer (click on the optifine jar) Start the launcher and make sure the Optifine profile is selected - then test it again

I’ve heard you can do this through the official Minecraft Launcher, but I’m unsure how to do it safely without affecting my current installation or save files.
