I am trying to make it so when you right click with a certain Item it removes said item and replaces it with two others.

I've only been able to make it return one item, I would be very grateful if someone explained how I can make it work if possible, or help me figure out an alternative. Thank you!

Example

public ItemStack onItemRightClick(ItemStack p_77659_1_, World p_77659_2_, EntityPlayer p_77659_3_) {
	return new ItemStack(Items.Stick);
    }

Just add the second item to the players inventory directly and return the first.

I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated.

See ItemBucket for more information, it may not always allow you to add to the inventory so you should accountf or that by either not allowing the split, or dropping the extra.

I got it to work! Thank you so much for your help.

 public ItemStack onItemRightClick(ItemStack itemstack, World world, EntityPlayer player) {

    	player.dropPlayerItemWithRandomChoice(new ItemStack(Items.apple, 1, 0), true);

	return new ItemStack(Items.Stick);
    }
