This all started when I tried to make a certain item from a certain mod and java crashed. I assumed it was a problem with the mod, so after searching for support, I completely reinstalled java, forge, minecraft, and all the mods. They said it wasn't a problem on their end. Sure enough, I'm able to get back on and work with that item just fine. For a while....

I've been trying to fix this for a few days now. It seems like I can play on my server for a while until something happens and all of java comes tumbling down. After that, it usually wont even let me start minecraft up for a while, crashing right after I click play. I'll mess with some things, change some java arguments, take out OptiFine, and then it'll work again for a little while, before it all crashes. I can scrape up just enough time to make some progress on my logistics pipes setup, but I spend more time trying to solve this than playing minecraft.

It's a crash from java, the likes I'm not at all experienced with, so I don't know where to start. I google search various terms in the crash report and find people talking about things like the java garbage dump process not being in later versions of java, or not enough RAM being allocated, or anything really. Nothing seems consistent about this crash.

It didn't really happen right after I did anything either. I have just added mods to the server, but nobody else on the server is having a problem. I did just start playing with OptiFine, but it still crashes without OptiFine. The nature of the problem would make it a huge pain to test with one mod at a time, because I basically would have to play with each single mod for about an hour to be sure the crash won't happen with it. I can say, I'm mostly certain the crash isn't happening with forge installed and no other mods. But when I put the mods in and join my server, the problem happens. But it's not the server, because then it crashes before it even finishes loading the mods. I just... I don't have any idea how to proceed.

I will post a couple crash reports that java printed to my .minecraft as "hs_err_pid7940.log" and "hs_err_pid4276.log" in the spoiler here. It's worth noting that every time the crash happens, it's not always the exact same crash report. Usually, it's similar, sometimes it's quite different. Usually the "problematic frame" is different. Any help would be great. I feel like I've tried everything. I just cant make sense of what the crash report is trying to say.

Stack from those looks look like you're having issues with immibis multiblock and chickenbones mods potentially with your graphics drivers.

Remove those and see what happens.

I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated.

So I just tried it using only those mods, immibis microblock/core, and all the chicken bones mods. It crashed on startup. So at least that's something, but why am I just having this problem? I've been playing with those mods on this graphics card for at least a half a month now with no problem until two days ago.

EDIT: Just tried it without the mods. I was able to get into a game, but then my entire computer crashed. It said there was a memory error and had to restart. I dont thiiink it posted a crash report though. I'll try it again.....

Didn't crash computer this time, but crashed and posted this after... oh... 20 seconds after creating a world.

It's posting weird specs for my computer. The real ones are:

Windows 10, 64 bit

8GB RAM

AMD Athlon II 4-core 2.6 GHz

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950

Java 1.8.0_71, 64 bit

Just in case that helps

EDIT 2: Okay, I thought I'd play StarCraft instead, and then that crashed. I don't know why, but my computer must have a virus or possibly hardware issues. I just built this computer this month. Anyway, thanks for the help. This problem is not even java related, much less Forge related. I don't know what I'm going to do....

    • Yes that’s the full log, I managed to get it working last night, the anvil fix mod is what was causing it to crash
    • Hey guys, i'm currently developping a mod with forge 1.12.2 2860 and i'm using optifine and gradle 4.9. The thing is i'm trying to figure out how to show the player's body in first person. So far everything's going well since i've try to use a shader. The player's body started to blink dark when using a shader. I've try a lot of shader like chocapic, zeus etc etc but still the same issue. So my question is : How should i apply the current shader to the body ? At the same time i'm also drawing a HUD so maybe it could be the problem?   Here is the issue :    And here is the code where i'm trying to display the body :    private static void renderFirstPersonBody(EntityPlayerSP player, float partialTicks) { Minecraft mc = Minecraft.getMinecraft(); GlStateManager.pushMatrix(); GlStateManager.pushAttrib(); try { // Préparation OpenGL GlStateManager.enableDepth(); GlStateManager.depthMask(true); GlStateManager.enableAlpha(); GlStateManager.alphaFunc(GL11.GL_GREATER, 0.1F); GlStateManager.enableBlend(); GlStateManager.blendFunc(GL11.GL_SRC_ALPHA, GL11.GL_ONE_MINUS_SRC_ALPHA); // Éclairage correct pour shaders GlStateManager.enableLighting(); RenderHelper.enableStandardItemLighting(); GlStateManager.enableRescaleNormal(); // Active la lightmap pour les shaders mc.entityRenderer.enableLightmap(); // Position de rendu interpolée double px = player.lastTickPosX + (player.posX - player.lastTickPosX) * partialTicks; double py = player.lastTickPosY + (player.posY - player.lastTickPosY) * partialTicks; double pz = player.lastTickPosZ + (player.posZ - player.lastTickPosZ) * partialTicks; GlStateManager.translate( px - mc.getRenderManager().viewerPosX, py - mc.getRenderManager().viewerPosY, pz - mc.getRenderManager().viewerPosZ ); // Rendu du joueur sans la tête Render<?> render = mc.getRenderManager().getEntityRenderObject(player); if (render instanceof RenderPlayer) { RenderPlayer renderPlayer = (RenderPlayer) render; boolean oldHeadHidden = renderPlayer.getMainModel().bipedHead.isHidden; boolean oldHeadwearHidden = renderPlayer.getMainModel().bipedHeadwear.isHidden; renderPlayer.getMainModel().bipedHead.isHidden = true; renderPlayer.getMainModel().bipedHeadwear.isHidden = true; setArmorHeadVisibility(renderPlayer, false); renderPlayer.doRender(player, 0, 0, 0, player.rotationYaw, partialTicks); renderPlayer.getMainModel().bipedHead.isHidden = oldHeadHidden; renderPlayer.getMainModel().bipedHeadwear.isHidden = oldHeadwearHidden; setArmorHeadVisibility(renderPlayer, !oldHeadwearHidden); } // Nettoyage post rendu mc.entityRenderer.disableLightmap(); GlStateManager.disableRescaleNormal(); } catch (Exception e) { // silent fail } finally { GlStateManager.popAttrib(); GlStateManager.popMatrix(); } }   Ty for your help.
    • Item successfully registered, but there was a problem with the texture of the item, it did not insert and has just the wrong texture.
    • Keep on using the original Launcher Run Vanilla 1.12.2 once and close the game Download Optifine and run optifine as installer (click on the optifine jar) Start the launcher and make sure the Optifine profile is selected - then test it again
    • Hi everyone, I’m hoping to revisit an old version of Minecraft — specifically around Beta 1.7.3 — for nostalgia’s sake. I’ve heard you can do this through the official Minecraft Launcher, but I’m unsure how to do it safely without affecting my current installation or save files. Are there any compatibility issues I should watch out for when switching between versions? Would really appreciate any tips or advice from anyone who’s done this before! – Adam
