Hello guys,

I hope you will find some time to read this topic.

I got this error message after I set the command "gradlew setupDecompWorkspace" in the cmd tool.

FAILURE: Build failed with an exception.

* What went wrong:

Execution failed for task ':decompileMc'.

> GC overhead limit exceeded

* Try:

Run with --stacktrace option to get the stack trace. Run with --info or --debug option to get more log output.

BUILD FAILED

If you need any more information from me to analyse the problem, feel free to ask me.

I wish you a wonderful day  :),

Create a gradle.properties file next to build.gradle (if it doesn't already exist) and add this line to it:

org.gradle.jvmargs=-Xmx2G

This tells Gradle to run Java with the

-Xmx2G

argument, which sets Java's maximum heap size to 2 GB (enough to decompile 1.8.9).

Edit: Fixed the formatting.

Please don't PM me to ask for help. Asking your question in a public thread preserves it for people who are having the same problem in the future.
