Crash doesn't happening, but texture doesn't display on block and his item. I don't find mistakes  :(

public final class StaticsBlockRender

    }

    public static void regBlock(Block block)
    {
        Minecraft.getMinecraft().getRenderItem().getItemModelMesher().register(Item.getItemFromBlock(block),0,new     ModelResourceLocation(ModInfo.MODID + ":" + block.getUnlocalizedName().substring(5), "inventory"));

}

Structure:

BlockStates:

{
  "variants": {
    "normal": { "model": "Statics:testBlock" }
  }
}

Models.block:

{
  "parent": "block/cube_all",
  "textures": {
    "all": "Statics:blocks/testBlock"
  }
}

Models.item:

{
  "parent": "Statics:block/testBlock",
  "display": {
    "thirdperson": {
      "rotation": [ 10, -45, 170 ],
      "translation": [ 0, 1.5, -2.75 ],
      "scale": [ 0.375, 0.375, 0.375 ]
    }
  }
}

  • Author

  • ModID should be all lowercase everywhere
  • Use
    ModelLoader.setCustomModelResouceLocation

    in preInit instead of the

    ItemModelMesher

    stuff in init.

  • Do not use the unlocalized name to determine the model location.
  • Your unlocalized name should include your ModID.

I have it all fixed, but whatever texture does not display. Maybe I did something wrong?

I wrote MODID in lowercase:

package com.minebot.statics;

public class ModInfo
{
    public static final String MODID = "statics";
    public static final String NAME = "Statics";
    public static final String VERSION = "1.0.0";
    public static final String STATICS_CLIENT_PROXY = "com.minebot.statics.proxy.ClientProxy";
    public static final String STATICS_COMMON_PROXY = "com.minebot.statics.proxy.CommonProxy";
}

I replaced ItemModelMesher and does not use unlocalized name there:

package com.minebot.statics.render;

import com.minebot.statics.ModInfo;
import com.minebot.statics.StaticsBlocks;
import net.minecraft.block.Block;
import net.minecraft.client.resources.model.ModelResourceLocation;
import net.minecraft.item.Item;
import net.minecraftforge.client.model.ModelLoader;

public final class StaticsBlockRender
{
    public static void registerBlockRender()
    {
        regBlock(StaticsBlocks.testBlock, "testBlock");
    }

    public static void regBlock(Block block, String name)
    {
        ModelLoader.setCustomModelResourceLocation(Item.getItemFromBlock(block),0,new ModelResourceLocation(ModInfo.MODID + ":" + name, "inventory"));
    }
}

And unlocalized name includes MODID:

package com.minebot.statics;

import net.minecraft.block.Block;
import net.minecraft.block.material.Material;
import net.minecraft.creativetab.CreativeTabs;

public class TestBlock extends Block {

    public TestBlock()
    {
        super(Material.wood);
        this.setUnlocalizedName(ModInfo.MODID + ":testBlock");
        this.setCreativeTab(CreativeTabs.tabBlock);
        this.setHardness(2f);
        this.setStepSound(soundTypeWood);
        this.setResistance(7f);
        this.setHarvestLevel("axe", 0);
    }
}
