Posted March 29, 20169 yr I'm attempting to update to 1.8, unfortunately im getting over 1200 (is that normal?) errors. Anyway, I noticed that some tileentitys require you to implement more methods.. Can anyone explain these, Thanks!: @Override public String getName() { // TODO Auto-generated method stub return null; } @Override public boolean hasCustomName() { // TODO Auto-generated method stub return false; } @Override public IChatComponent getDisplayName() { // TODO Auto-generated method stub return null; } @Override public ItemStack removeStackFromSlot(int index) { // TODO Auto-generated method stub return null; } @Override public void openInventory(EntityPlayer player) { // TODO Auto-generated method stub } @Override public void closeInventory(EntityPlayer player) { // TODO Auto-generated method stub } @Override public int getField(int id) { // TODO Auto-generated method stub return 0; } @Override public void setField(int id, int value) { // TODO Auto-generated method stub } @Override public int getFieldCount() { // TODO Auto-generated method stub return 0; } @Override public void clear() { // TODO Auto-generated method stub } eKoop Creator: http://lumtech.byethost33.com/mods/eKoop/modinfo.html
March 29, 20169 yr Which ones are you wondering about? Three of those should be painfully obvious, three more deal with inventories. Apparently I'm a complete and utter jerk and come to this forum just like to make fun of people, be confrontational, and make your personal life miserable. If you think this is the case, JUST REPORT ME. Otherwise you're just going to get reported when you reply to my posts and point it out, because odds are, I was trying to be nice. Exception: If you do not understand Java, I WILL NOT HELP YOU and your thread will get locked. DO NOT PM ME WITH PROBLEMS. No help will be given.
March 29, 20169 yr Author It's the getfields thingy. Plus thanks diesieben07 eKoop Creator: http://lumtech.byethost33.com/mods/eKoop/modinfo.html
March 29, 20169 yr get/setField is simple vanilla-provided abstraction layer over Tiles. It allows assigning integer to field with some id. You can use it to e.g set some "power" value insie TE using setField(idOfPowerField, value). 1.7.10 is no longer supported by forge, you are on your own.
