Online Mod Manager - Forge Redistribution Request

To Lex,

Over the last week I have been developing an browser based installer for my mod using JavaFX. I have written it in a way that means that it should be able to be used by other modders who want this can easily use it (all functionality is controlled by an xml file). Right now it

1. Detects Minecraft in it's default path

2. Verifies that the minecraft version is the version required for the mod

3. Checks for Minecraft Forge

a. If Forge is not detected and or out of date (and modloader is not installed) download the recommended build of forge (If this is not present, fallback to a defined version)

b. Install Minecraft forge (backing up Minecraft in the process)

4. Download the mod in question and place it into the mods directory.

I was wanting to get permission for the download/install functionality of my application. Included in the Forge section is a link to the forums as well as a button to donate (which is currently non-functional). I do have a prototype that I did try to send you in a PM, however you block all incoming PMs. I didn't think you would like the idea of me posting a link in this public place without prior permission to re-distribute.

EDIT x2:

Sorry Ignore most of the request part of the post, I was silly and didn't look into the licence carefully enough.

For anyone who is interested, here is a link to my yest version. It does require JavaFX to be installed, this is bundled with Java7 (or avaliable in external libraries for Java6) so you may need to update Java. Let me know how it goes.

5. Distribution rights

----------------------

The user of Minecraft Forge is allowed to redistribute Minecraft Forge in

partially, in totallity, or included in a distribution. When distributing

binaries or class files, the user must provide means to obtain the sources of

the distributed version of Minecraft Forge at no costs. This includes the

files as well as any dependency that the code may rely on, including patches to

minecraft original sources.

You can.

Read the EAQ before posting! OR ELSE!

This isn't building better software, its trying to grab a place in the commit list of a highly visible github project.

I do intend to do this after I have fixed all the bugs associated with it. Right now think of it more of a working prototype than a finished product.
