FredTargaryen Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 It sounds pretty destructive, and from what I've seen and read it's not possible, but can anyone confirm whether you can do this? Specific case: When a water block is set to ice I would like to occasionally set it to my custom ice block instead. Thanks for reading. Quote
Ernio Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 It really depends - "when water block is set to ice" - by who? You can easily track player placements, but direct world-modifying is pain in the ass. So if you are asking "Can I track any block-change occuring in world?" the answer would be "no" or "not without causing performance issues". Draco18s Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 The only way I can think of doing this without performance impact would be ASM and inject your own event into the water block class. Note: ASM is not a standard protocol and you will receive no help here for writing it. FredTargaryen Posted June 17, 2016 Author Posted June 17, 2016 Yes I was thinking of when the world sets water to ice automatically. I was worried someone would mention ASM; don't think I'm experienced enough to safely use that. Thank you both! Quote
