I go to "new profile" when I log onto minecraft and I only see the outdated version. I downloaded the newest version of forge 1.8.9 and it wont show up on the "new profile" page.

I just put the installers in the Versions folder and its still not working.

I right clicked the forge file an I clicked "run as administrator" and a screen popped up that had 3 choices 1. install client 2. install server and I entered it install client and I pressed okay put it in MODS folder then it still won't work

1. Download installer (just "Installer," not "Installer-win.")

2. Locate the downloaded jar (usually in the default Downloads folder.)

3. Open installer.

4. Close the Minecraft launcher if it's open.

5. "Install client"

6. Click "OK."

7. Once it's done, open the Minecraft launcher.

8. To the left of the "Play" button, there's an arrow button. Click the arrow for a list of Profiles.

9. Locate a profile named "forge" and click it to select.

10. Click the "Play" button to start Minecraft Forge.

Still not loading I did every step and its the same!

When I press the "play" button. Then the MOJANG and the red symbol pop up and I sit there for 10 minutes and the page with singleplayer and multiplayer and realms etc. DO NOT pop up it just stays on the MOJANG page with the red symbol.

I have no clue what that is.... give me directions on where to find it please.
