Posted August 10, 20169 yr I setRegistryName and setUnlocalizedName the same as asking me setRegistryName from *? How to return setUnlocalizedName setRegistryName?
August 10, 20169 yr what exactly is the problem? There are get Methods for both of them if you mean that
August 10, 20169 yr Author I tried this: public BaseItems() { setUnlocalizedName(getRegistryName()); } It did not work.
August 10, 20169 yr Have ypu already set the registered name? And I whould first set the Unlocalkized name and the set the registeredname with the same value as the unlocalizedname catch(Exception e) { } Yay, Pokémon exception handling, gotta catch 'em all (and then do nothing with 'em).
August 10, 20169 yr Have ypu already set the registered name? And I whould first set the Unlocalkized name and the set the registeredname with the same value as the unlocalizedname Forge introduced the registry name system to stop people from using unlocalised names as registry names. Registry names are unique and must not change, unlocalised names aren't unique and can change at any time. If the registry and unlocalised names of an object are the same, set the registry name first and then set the unlocalised name from the registry name. You can change the unlocalised name at a later date if needed, but the registry name must remain the same. Please don't PM me to ask for help. Asking your question in a public thread preserves it for people who are having the same problem in the future.
August 10, 20169 yr I tried this: public BaseItems() { setUnlocalizedName(getRegistryName()); } It did not work. Is your BaseItems class of type Item? I bet not. Apparently I'm a complete and utter jerk and come to this forum just like to make fun of people, be confrontational, and make your personal life miserable. If you think this is the case, JUST REPORT ME. Otherwise you're just going to get reported when you reply to my posts and point it out, because odds are, I was trying to be nice. Exception: If you do not understand Java, I WILL NOT HELP YOU and your thread will get locked. DO NOT PM ME WITH PROBLEMS. No help will be given.

August 10, 20169 yr FYI: "It didn't work" is the bestest way to communicate information. You should totally keep doing that. By which I mean DON'T DO THAT EVER AGAIN. IT IS NOT IN ANYWAY HELPFUL.
