Hello everyone,

I have already written a topic about the installer only installing the JSON content.

Somebody told me that it works as intended.

But now I want to know, why doesn't Forge install a JAR content?

I had many issues because of this. And is there any way to get the JAR content?

Now, it installs the JSON content and a folder called "natives-[i don't remember]" with some .DLL-files.

You know, it is impossible to open DLL-files with a normal text editor (I am currently using NotePad++).

Can you answer me that?

Best regards,

SprengMeister02

PS: If somebody wants to open a DLL-File, use ResourceHacker [http://www.angusj.com/resourcehacker/].

It is a freeware, so no ads and stuff like that

It can decompile .EXE, .DLL, .MUI and so on, and it can write and compile .RC and .RES.

Sometimes, it is very useful if you want to see what's inside an EXE.

Java uses the same format as a ZIP-compressed archive, but EXE cannot be opened renaming it from EXE to ZIP.

In Minecraft, there are creepers ant TNT, but I

am definitely the most explosive thing.

Why are you having issues, there should be nothing that requires that jar to be there.

The only thing 'Forge' 'Installs' in the versions folder is a json file.

Forge 'installs' itself, and the other libraries it needs to run. {Scala and type safe} Into the libraries folder where the launcher can pick it up.

The launcher unpacks the natives required for lwjgl to work just like it does with vanilla.

And I say that because its VANILLA specifying that the natives need to exist, not Forge.

I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated.
