Posted August 20, 20169 yr I have an ore that's set to be broken by a Hammer of sorts. When it's broken with a Pickaxe, I want it to drop 2-3 of the ore, which I've got set up, but when a player breaks it with the Hammer tool, I want it to drop 8-10. Any way I can make this work? package tustuff.blocks; import java.util.ArrayList; import java.util.Random; import net.minecraft.block.Block; import net.minecraft.block.SoundType; import net.minecraft.block.material.Material; import net.minecraft.block.state.IBlockState; import net.minecraft.creativetab.CreativeTabs; import net.minecraft.entity.player.EntityPlayer; import net.minecraft.init.Items; import net.minecraft.item.Item; import net.minecraft.item.ItemStack; import net.minecraft.util.math.BlockPos; import net.minecraft.world.IBlockAccess; import net.minecraft.world.World; import tustuff.init.Init; import tustuff.init.ModItems; import tustuff.init.NameReg; import tustuff.other.TabTustuff; public class OreArmorCrystal extends Block { public OreArmorCrystal(){ super(Material.ROCK); setUnlocalizedName(NameReg.ModBlocks.OREARMORCRYSTAL.getUnlocalizedName()); setRegistryName(NameReg.ModBlocks.OREARMORCRYSTAL.getRegistryName()); setCreativeTab(TabTustuff.tabTustuff); setHardness(5.5F); setResistance(12F); setSoundType(SoundType.STONE); setLightOpacity(16); setLightLevel(0.0F); setHarvestLevel("pickaxe", 3); } @Override public ArrayList<ItemStack> getDrops(IBlockAccess world, BlockPos pos, IBlockState blockstate, int fortune){ ArrayList<ItemStack> drops = new ArrayList<ItemStack>(); drops.add(new ItemStack(ModItems.armorcrystal, RANDOM.nextInt(3) + 1)); return drops; } } ...
August 20, 20169 yr Try using onBlockHarvested or removedByPlayer Apparently I'm a complete and utter jerk and come to this forum just like to make fun of people, be confrontational, and make your personal life miserable. If you think this is the case, JUST REPORT ME. Otherwise you're just going to get reported when you reply to my posts and point it out, because odds are, I was trying to be nice. Exception: If you do not understand Java, I WILL NOT HELP YOU and your thread will get locked. DO NOT PM ME WITH PROBLEMS. No help will be given.
August 20, 20169 yr Author Try using onBlockHarvested or removedByPlayer Thanks! I was sure there was some simple answer like that, whoops EDIT: What is the difference between using the two? ...
August 20, 20169 yr They're called at different times. IIRC removedByPlayer calls onBlockHarvested. onBlockHarvested is probably better for what you're doing.
