Posted September 3, 20169 yr I have tried putting in different enchantments and all of them cant be resolved. I have looked at all the examples I could find, and they seem to have all the same syntax. ItemStack enchantedSwordItemStack = new ItemStack(Items.STONE_SWORD); enchantedSwordItemStack.addEnchantment(Enchantment.sharpness, 1); GameRegistry.addShapelessRecipe(enchantedSwordItemStack, Items.FLINT, Items.STONE_SWORD); I have this in my imports import net.minecraft.enchantment.Enchantment;
September 3, 20169 yr Use your god damned IDE (go look at the class, use the autocomplete dropdown...). They are in all caps now. September 3, 20169 yr Author That was just the most recent attempt. I have tried Knockback, knockback, KNOCKBACK, etc. My other recipes are CAPS and work fine, the eclipse caps them for me when I am close to spelling it right, for the enchantments I have tried it never gives any tips.
September 3, 20169 yr Then either: You haven't imported the Enchantments class or You're using the wrong class. I don't have an environment set up at the moment to check. September 3, 20169 yr enchantedSwordItemStack.addEnchantment( *Enchantment* .sharpness, 1); Should be Enchantments http://i.imgur.com/J4rrGt6.png[/img]
September 4, 20169 yr Author Yep, that was it. Thanks for the help. Once I put the s at the end then eclipse said I needed to import the one with the s, then the SHARPNESS was resolved. I tried searching everywhere, and at least all the sites I noticed had the exact same spelling as me. I bought a book and it was without the s. There were some posts on this forum where it was without the s, but the guy had worse problems I think. Thanks again people!
September 4, 20169 yr I believe it changed in one of the more recent updates. Same as moving from Block.dirt to Blocks.dirt (and then again to Blocks.DIRT).
