Posted November 17, 20168 yr Hi, I'm updating my relatively simple mod to 1.11 and so far all of the 1.10 code just works with minor tweaks. Which is great, but i have one issue. Here is the class for my creative tab: package com.bored.morefuelsmod.client; import com.bored.morefuelsmod.Main; import com.bored.morefuelsmod.item.ModItems; import net.minecraft.creativetab.CreativeTabs; import net.minecraft.item.Item; public class MoreFuelsTab extends CreativeTabs { public MoreFuelsTab() { super(Main.modid); } @Override public Item getTabIconItem() { return ModItems.coke; } } On the override, i am now told that "The return type is incompatible with CreativeTabs.getTabIconItem()." Code correction suggests that ItemStack is what it wants, however that simply does not work with my code. Is there a workaround for this? When i try to launch minecraft, it will launch and load in a world, however if you go to the creative tab it will crash before even displaying the tab.
November 17, 20168 yr How is returning an ItemStack incompatible with your code? Just change the return type and return a new ItemStack(ModItems.coke) . Don't make mods if you don't know Java. Check out my website: http://shadowfacts.net Developer of many mods
November 17, 20168 yr Just tried that, now the only working texture is the coke item Huh? Apparently I'm a complete and utter jerk and come to this forum just like to make fun of people, be confrontational, and make your personal life miserable. If you think this is the case, JUST REPORT ME. Otherwise you're just going to get reported when you reply to my posts and point it out, because odds are, I was trying to be nice. Exception: If you do not understand Java, I WILL NOT HELP YOU and your thread will get locked. DO NOT PM ME WITH PROBLEMS. No help will be given.
November 17, 20168 yr Just tried that, now the only working texture is the coke item class 1: package exampled.modinfo; import net.minecraft.creativetab.CreativeTabs; public class ModCreativeTabs { public static CreativeTabs example_tab; public static void load(){ example_tab = new ExampledCreativeTab(CreativeTabs.getNextID()); } } class 2 that extends CreativeTabs: package exampled.modinfo; import net.minecraft.creativetab.CreativeTabs; import net.minecraft.init.Items; import net.minecraft.item.Item; import net.minecraft.item.ItemStack; import net.minecraftforge.fml.common.registry.GameRegistry; public class ExampledCreativeTab extends CreativeTabs { public ExampledCreativeTab(int id) { super("example_tab"); } @Override public ItemStack getTabIconItem() { return new ItemStack(Items.ENCHANTED_BOOK); } } anything other than that I would imagine json... src/main/resources/assets.textures.entity.sphere.png { "ambientocclusion": false, "textures": { "0": "exampled:entity/sphere", "1": "blocks/glass_pane_top_black" },
