Posted November 26, 20168 yr Hello, So I have an item here that I need for it to take damage when its used in crafting, However, I'm having a hard time apply the damage, here is what I have so far: public class ItemSqueezer extends ItemBase { public ItemSqueezer(String name){ super(name); this.setMaxStackSize(1); this.setMaxDamage(10); } @Override public boolean hasContainerItem(ItemStack stack){ return true; } @Override public ItemStack getContainerItem(ItemStack itemStack) { return //What to return? } } Relatively new to modding. VANILLA MINECRAFT CLASSES ARE THE BEST RESOURCES WHEN MODDING I will be posting 1.15.2 modding tutorials on this channel. November 26, 20168 yr Hi return a new ItemStack but with a damage value of 1 more than the itemStack's damage value. I think you mean - return a new ItemStack with a damage value of 1 less than the itemStack's damage value? You'll also need to make the recipe so that it ignores the damage of your item.
