Hello! I am sorry for this extremely vague question, but I need help with Rendering Blocks:

(1): Can you render a block using multiple .json files? Say I have a Stone Slab whose model is 1/3 a block tall, and I wand to stack them. Would I have to have a different .json file per blockstate or could I just repeat the same model 3 times?

(2): If I can have more than one .json file, can I animate them separately?

(3): Is the an alternative to using the .json model? say I want to have a more detailed model then the ones you can make with the .json file. How does that work?

Thank you so much for your time. Even if you can just point me in the right direction of where to look for answers I would appreciate it.

1) Yes. You do it via the blockstate file.

2) I don't know

3) OBJ models.

Apparently I'm a complete and utter jerk and come to this forum just like to make fun of people, be confrontational, and make your personal life miserable.  If you think this is the case, JUST REPORT ME.  Otherwise you're just going to get reported when you reply to my posts and point it out, because odds are, I was trying to be nice.

Exception: If you do not understand Java, I WILL NOT HELP YOU and your thread will get locked.

DO NOT PM ME WITH PROBLEMS. No help will be given.

3. You could also use a tile entity special renderer, if you want to make it really complicated.

Apparently I'm addicted to these forums and can't help but read all the posts. So if I somehow help you, please click the "Like This" button, it helps.
