Can't install Forge on Vanilla server

Hi guys,

I'm having trouble installing Forge on my server. I first tried putting it in the .jar but that didn't work then after some more research I found that you just needed to put the universal .zip file into the folder and change it into a .jar. I did that and it still does not work. Any help would be appreciated here.

(Note: I am trying on the most recent version of Forge)

I tried putting the .jar into the location roaming\.minecraft\bin and when I run it an error comes up that says "A java exception has occured. Should I try running this on a bigger computer? (I'm on vacation and doing this all on a netbook for now.)

Do what Malivil told you.

[*]Download minecraftforge-universal-1.4.6-6.5.0.489.zip to the same folder that minecraft-server.jar is in.

[*]Rename minecraftforge-universal-1.4.6-6.5.0.489.zip to minecraftforge-universal-1.4.6-6.5.0.489.jar.

[*]Launch minecraftforge-universal-1.4.6-6.5.0.489.jar as if it were minecraft-server.jar.

There's an EAQ for a reason. Read it!

Ok, I am now back to my desktop computer and the exact same thing happens. I tried running the Minecraftforge.jar but I got a message that says "A java Exception has occured." I then tried opening it with a .bat to see what was going on. This is the error that came up.
