[1.11.2] Can you guys please update Forge to 1.11.2 and stop disguising it as 1.10.2, Thanks.

The title explains it all.

I can't run my client with JourneyMap, Optifine and InventoryTweaks without having Forge 1.11.2 installed, (when I download it on your site, and install it, it's not 1.11.2, and instead is 1.10.2) to play on my vanilla 1.11.2 server which I started recently hosting for my brothers and I.

Please update this, thanks.

Which version of Forge did you download? What makes you think it's for 1.10.2?

Can you post the URL you downloaded it from?

Please don't PM me to ask for help. Asking your question in a public thread preserves it for people who are having the same problem in the future.

Downloaded and installed the Installer-win, installer and universal files on this page.
After that I booted minecraft and I get this.

Launched Minecraft and...

Just doesn't make sense.

I haven't used the new launcher yet, but I'd guess you already had a profile called "forge" and the installer didn't overwrite it.

What you need to do is create a new profile and select the appropriate Forge version from the versions list.

I haven't played for a few months so the new launcher had me confused. Just went into the settings and was able to find the 1.11.2 forge version and have made a new profile for it.

Don't know why it defaulted to 1.10.2 in the first place (I didn't have 1.10.2 installed previously).

Thanks, fixed.

Yeah, I don't like it much either.

Apparently I'm a complete and utter jerk and come to this forum just like to make fun of people, be confrontational, and make your personal life miserable.  If you think this is the case, JUST REPORT ME.  Otherwise you're just going to get reported when you reply to my posts and point it out, because odds are, I was trying to be nice.

Exception: If you do not understand Java, I WILL NOT HELP YOU and your thread will get locked.

DO NOT PM ME WITH PROBLEMS. No help will be given.

    • What in particular? I barely used that mod this time around, and it's never been a problem in the past.

    • All versions of Minecraft Forge suddenly black screen even without mods (tried reinstalling original Minecraft, Java, updating drivers doesn't work)
