This question is really important for me and my friends..

We been playing minecraft for awhile with no mods and heard about the cool things forge can do from my cousin, was wondering

Will we lose all of our items and buildings if we put forge on the server?

Just double checking.. Because i hope not.

No, you shouldn't unless you screw something up royally.

Forge does not edit any of the saving/loading formats.

I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated.

No, but there are a few disadvantages if you don't start a new world:

  • Most of the mods spawn blocks, like ores and trees, only in new chuncks. To find them, you have to go to a place where you've never been.
  • You cannot convert back to a non-forge server if you have mod blocks in your world (like ores, trees, etc.).

That is awesome! because then we can explore to new lands and it would be filled with mysterious creatures!

Its an adventure  8)
