n my server log I see the following: [iNFO] [ForgeModLoader] Unloading dimension 1 (or any other except 0, -1)

The dimensions unload when there is nobody in it, but dimension 0 and -1 dont, is it possible to unload these to, to reduce cpu use when nobody is on your server?

Or is there any other way to make the server use alot less cpu when its empty? My server now is using 30% cpu when nobody is on it (because of many mods), which is 90% of the time, this is a waste of energy...

If no dimensions are active, the server should use no more then 1%...there must be a way to make this happen.

We cant unload the overworld as it would screw up a lot of internal things. the nether *should* unload if I recall correctly.

But none of the chunks should be ticking if nobody is there. So your cpw should be fine.

If not do some profiling and go yell at a modder for being excessive.

I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated.

My server cpu use goes from 30% to 32% when there is someone playing...I dont understand what the server is doing when nobody is on it...and why you cant just make it do nothing.

PROBLEM OF HIGH CPU WHEN SERVER IS EMPTY IS SOLVED !

all you have to do is put the word "nogui" at the end of your server.bat file, my server is now using 1% cpu, it used to be 30% !!

It appears that the minecraft server gui is very very bad...I have been searching for this for very long, but couldent find it anywhere...until I found it out myself :D
