Forge does not seem to want to work.

I download the newest forge (6.6.0) and open it with 7-zip.

Opened my minecraft.jar in 7-zip (my .minecraft is unaltered)

Deleted my META-INF.

Copied all the files from forge into my minecraft.jar.

Closed my all my open 7-zip, and opened Minecraft.

But when i open minecraft the forge popup will not come up. Minecraft works perfectly fine but forge is not on there.

Am i forgetting something?

are you sure you are launching minecraft as the correct user?

like you install as root, you need to launch minecraft as root

and like you install as uyjulian, you need to launch minecraft as uyjulian

Actually, I copied my usual .minecraft and put it elswhere, then started up minecraft with no .minecraft, creating a new one.

This isn't building better software, its trying to grab a place in the commit list of a highly visible github project.

Don't PM me, I don't check this account unless I have to.

There really isnt anything we can do beyond tell you to install things correctly.

If you cant not figure it out, use one of the plethora of launcher that are available.

I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated.
