Posted May 1, 20178 yr I've recently been wanting to download forge for Minecraft, so I got the 1.8 version. I downloaded it, and it turned into a folder. However this folder only contained a .json file, and was otherwise empty. The forge works on my mac, but I cannot install any mods, since I don't have the mod folder inside of my .minecraft ---> Forge 1.8. I have downloaded many other versions as well, but the same thing occurs. Screenshot of my folder: http://prntscr.com/f2ubk8 Please help me resolve this issue. Kind Regards, Accomplished_

That's what I did, I didn't extract it. I double clicked it and it turned into a folder in my .versions @diesieben07 Edited May 1, 20178 yr by Accomplished_

I have another issue, in my -bash (terminal) my cd introcs/hello cannot be found as a file. Do you know how to solve this? @diesieben07 Edited May 1, 20178 yr by Accomplished_

May 3, 20178 yr This is EXACTLY what the installer is supposed to do. The Jar is not needed as it's in the normal version folder. Please search there are dozens of this question. It's 2017 you NEVER need to edit the jar files anymore! I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated. Consider supporting the team on Patreon
