Good day forge,

See I made my own Modded Tools, there is no problem when crafting them, you can craft them accordingly as you craft normal tools like diamond or gold, but when you place them in the anvil you can't repair them using the toolMaterial, you can repair them when using as itself ex. JadeDragonChestplate + JadeDragonChestPlate  = JadeDragon Chestplate, but JadeDragonChestplate + jadeDragonScales(the item you use to craft it) = X. I am just new to modding appreciate every help. What maybe did I do wrong?

The anvil does not look at crafting recipes. In each item class, you need to override public boolean getIsRepairable(ItemStack toBeRepaired, ItemStack ingredient) to return true when your item is offered the right ingredient.

The debugger is a powerful and necessary tool in any IDE, so learn how to use it. You'll be able to tell us more and get better help here if you investigate your runtime problems in the debugger before posting.
