I have an item and I want to use it to only open a gui. I will not store any items in it or use it for anything else. I'm not to familiar with Gui's so any advice on where to start with this one would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same question with the rigthclickItem = Open gui event.

But this tutorial is only for Blocks.

Not for items.

So how can i open Guis with the function onItemRightClick(ItemStack par1, World par2, EntityPlayer par3)?

I used this code and it fail.

DTGuis.advancedToolBenchID = 3;

public ItemStack onItemRightClick(ItemStack par1, World par2, EntityPlayer par3)

{

  par3.openGui(DynamicTools.instance, DTGuis.advancedToolBenchID, par3.worldobj, (int)par3.Xcoord, (int)par3.Ycoord, (int)par3.Zcoord);

  return par1;

}
